Management & Board of Directors

Leclanché operates through a Board of Directors and an Executive Committee.

The Board of Directors has a regulatory role and is responsible for supervising the executive management of Leclanché. It also functions as an advisor to the Executive Committee, providing support and approval of key decisions. Through two board sub-committees, the Appointments and Remunerations committee, and the Audit and Risk committee, the board exercises direct control over certain personnel and accounting functions.

The executive committee is responsible for implementing Leclanché strategy, together with the execution and monitoring of all company activities, on behalf of our stakeholders.

Executive Management

Anil Srivastava

French, joined the Company in June 2014 Mr Srivastava was the Chief Executive of Areva Renewables and a member of the Areva Group’s executive committee from January 2009 to December 2011. Until recently he was the Chief Executive of a large offshore wind business in Germany. He is an experienced executive with a strong track record in building global businesses. Prior to his activity at Areva, he has held senior executive positions in companies such as TomTom group and Alcatel-Lucent. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras and  graduatetd with an Executive MBA from the Wharton School of Business in the USA.

Hubert Angleys

French, joined the Company in 2016 as Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining the Company, he has held several Finance Director positions with country, regional and global responsibilities. His career has allowed him to span a diverse range of business sectors, size and functions. Most recently, until August 2014, Hubert served as the CEO of METALOR Group, a multibillion global corporation headquartered in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). His vast and rich experience includes working as CFO in Companies like METALOR, ALCOA Europe - Geneva and SICPA Group - Lausanne.

Pierre Blanc

Swiss, joined the Company in 2000. He is Chief Technology Officer of Leclanché. Former positions include Development Manager of primary cells and Head of the R&D department at Leclanché (2004-2006). From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Blanc was Chemical Engineer at Leclanché where he was responsible for the development and manufacturing of battery cells of major brands such as Varta, Energizer, Panasonic and Enersys. He holds a B.A. Moderatorship Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin.

Fabrizio Marzolini

Swiss/Italian, joined Leclanché in 1994. He is Head of Systems Development and is responsible for the development of stationary battery systems. Fabrizio Marzolini holds a degree in electricity engineering and an executive Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Bryan Urban

American.  Mr. Urban leads Leclanché’s subsidiary in the US to support the expansion in the North American market.  Mr. Urban has over 25 years of energy development, finance and operational experience, covering a broad array of power generation and energy infrastructure assets in the Americas and Asia/Pacific.  Mr. Urban was the Managing Partner at Silveron Capital, a boutique investment banking and advisory team specializing in the power and alternative energy sectors.  Mr. Urban served on the Board of Directors of Leclanché from 2013 to 2016 and has been on the Board of several other energy technology companies in the US during the past five years.  Between 1992 and 2006, Mr. Urban worked for Panda Energy International and early in his career he spent five years with Arthur Andersen.  Mr Urban earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and is a CPA.

Stefan Louis

Belgian, joined the company in 2015 as Chief Strategy Officer following the acquisition of Belgian lithium-ion battery business unit Trineuron. Before, Stefan was business manager of Emrol, a company involved with lead-acid battery distribution and related technologies. International experience, methodical and innovative approach and well developed soft skills are part of his DNA. He holds an MSc in Electronics and has devoted his career to helping customers with the best available energy storage, conversion and management solutions in a B2B environment.

Board of directors

Jim Atack

British, Mr. Atack was the managing director of Petrofac Facilities Management between 2001 and 2006, after serving as Operations and Change Manager where he oversaw several substantial oilfield transitions. Mr. Atack served as a non-executive director of Altor Risk Group in the UK between 2011 and 2014 and was appointed to the board of Positive Homes, Ltd. in 2014. Mr. Atack's experience spans over thirty years of oil and gas field production and development projects, some seventeen with BP in the North Sea, Onshore UK and Alaska. He holds degrees in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology (B.Sc Hons.) and a degree in Offshore Structures from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.Sc). Mr. Atack was first appointed to the Leclanché board as a representative of Precept in 2013.

Stefan A. Müller

Swiss. Since 1987, Mr. Müller has held several management roles as chief executive officer and as board member in industrial and financial corporations. He was CEO of Reuge SA, Dreieck Industrie Leasing Ltd / Fortis Lease Switzerland Ltd, Lausanne from September 2003 until July 2010, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fortis Lease Switzerland Ltd and Fortis Lease Real Estate Switzerland Ltd, Lausanne. From 2011 to 2014 he was a Board Member of Unigamma AG, Zurich, Asset Management and Chairman of Unigamma Immobilien AG, Zurich. Since 2011 he has served as Board Member and CEO of g2e glass2energy sa, Villaz-St-Pierre and since 2012 Chairman of Clean Cooling Systems SA, Yverdon-les-Bains. From 2005 to March 2010 he was chairman of LECLANCHE SA. He graduated with a Master of Arts/lic.oec. HSG from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

Tianyi Fan

Chinese. Mr. Tianyi fan is Director of the Industry Department as part of Golden Partner Asset Management Co (Shanghai), which is a 100% subsidiary of Golden Partner Holding Co Luxembourg, whose associated affiliated vehicules are the largest shareholders in Leclanché. Industry department is responsible for post-investment management and added value support for the portfolio companies. Prior to this he was Director of the Research Department, undertaking project analysis and due diligence on investments, and being responsible for corporate risk control. He has been following Leclanché since Golden Partner's initial purchase of an interest in December 2015. He has also been active in trying to identify potential partners for Leclanché in the lucrative Chinese EV and stationary storage markets. Prior to working at Golden Partner, Mr. Tianyi Fan worked at Shanghai Zesheng Investment Management Ltd. where he was responsible for portfolio management, and particularly sectoral analysis. He monitored companies on the Chinese A-Share market. He has also worked at Unilever in China. Mr. Tianyi Fan has a Bachelor Degrees in Physics from Fudan University.

Fei Wang (aka Cathy Wang)

Chinese. Mrs. Wang is a representative of Golden Partner International who is a key shareholder in the company. She joined Leclanché's Borard of Directors on July 26, 2017. With 22 years of experience in high technology, innovative digital services and large scale industrialization, Mrs. Wang's career path covers fields as diverse as Internet services, telecom industry, and online payment. More than 15 years at high level of management fave her deep and extensive comppetencies in marketing, sales, finances, investments, and general administration. Familiar with chinese regulations and possessing a wide and dense international network, Mrs. Wang's communication and organizational skills have been a major success factor in her previous experiences. She hold as a Bachelor degree in Chemistry (B.Sc) of Chang Sha Electric Power Institute and an Executive Master in Business Management (EMBA) of Nankai University.

Pierre-Alain Graf

Swiss, Mr. Graf has been a resilient, international CEO in telecommunication businesses, power infrastructures and high tech industries. He was the CEO of Swissgrid from October 2008 to 2015 and has successfully managed the transfer of high-voltage network and the reorganization of the company. Before this role, he worked for Cisco Systems as General Manager Switzerland, at COLT Telecom Europe in London and Stockholm as well as at Credit Suisse in Zurich and London. Mr. Graf has a degree from University of Basel, University of St.Gallen, Harvard Business School and the International Banking School in New-York US.

Adam Said

Swiss. Mr. Said was co-founder of ACE & Company SA (“ACE”) in 2005 and was assigned Executive Director in 2012. He held several directorship positions in ACE’s operating companies since the group’s inception. During his tenure, he oversaw the execution of over a hundred private investment transactions across diverse stages of company’s development. Mr. Said is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, chairs the firm’s Executive committee, and a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to ACE, Mr. Said held a financial analyst position at Unifund, a private family office, where he participated in the development of the firm’s expansion in Saudi Arabia. There he shared responsibilities for multi-billion portfolio in public equities and actively participated in opening of the market to foreign investors. He also completed an analyst program at China International Capital Corporation (CICC) in Beijing during the Bank’s establishment of its private equity division. Mr. Said continues to hold director and advisory positions on several boards outside of ACE. He received Bachelor degree from Babson College, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Economics, and completed his MBA at Harvard Business School.

David Ishag

Mr. Ishag is a representative of Golden Partner International who became a 29.7 % shareholder in the Company in December of 2015. With more than 25 years spent in the Finance, Mobile and Online marketing Industries David’s previous experience includes: Employment, Partnership or Directorship with Financial Institutions such as Barclays de Zoete Wedd London, Republic National Bank of New York, Union Bancaire Privée Geneva, Wharton Asset Management Bermuda (Investment Manager) as Chairman and Chief Investment Officer. David's Mobile and Online Marketing achievements include: Founder CEO &  Chairman of award winning Pogo Technology: Europe’s first cloud based mobile platform. Founder and Executive Chairman of Espotting Media, Europe’s largest performance based advertising network pioneering pay per click.
