  • Willstätt, 13 March 2015. Leclanché in Willstätt is delighted about an important visit: on 13 March 2015, Andreas Jung (CDU), Member of the German Bundestag, is to visit the energy storage specialist.

Michael Ihringer, Managing Director of Leclanché GmbH, said:Leclanché is one of the leading manufacturers and developers of energy storage systems in Europe. Our multitechnology approach provides entirely new, pioneering means of tackling the diverse challenges of energy storage technology. Leclanché has invested substantially in production in Germany, henceforth also manufacturing lithium graphite/NMC cells and storage.” CoManaging Director Heiko Ross added: “Furthermore, Leclanché places heavy emphasis on the intelligent integration of different battery types via software and electronics. We are very proud to be allowed to present our innovations to Andreas Jung. After all, he is one of the most important people shaping energy transition in Germany, as well as a sustainable energy industry.”
Andreas Jung, Member of the Bundestag, stated: “I am fully committed to promoting the energy transition and electricity supplied from renewable energy sources. Intelligent, efficient energy stores are therefore a significant factor in achieving this – also from an economic perspective. I see here good opportunities for the German economy. Actively developing Germany as a location for a sustainable energy industry is one of my most important missions as Chair of the Parliamentary Advisory Council on Sustainable Development. As the chairman of the advisory board for sustainable development I strongly support Germany’s energy  turnaround, where storage has to play a key role. Visiting Leclanché offers me a great opportunity to discuss this with a major contributor to the future of our economy.”
